The Big Night

The whole city is moving. Tonight, so are you.

Before the game: what has been taking up too much space in your head lately?
This check-in is held locally in this game session and stays hidden until the end.

What happened in the run

This is gameplay telemetry, not a diagnosis or a clinical score. The final report after Level 7 will combine gameplay patterns with the reflections you choose to include.

How this level was designed

SFBT: clean exits from repeated chatter are treated as exceptions. The game turns a successful hold into a Ghost Line so the player immediately gets more chances to reuse what already worked.

Strategic Brief Therapy: Doubt District deliberately prescribes recalculation for a short, bounded period and then ends it with a commitment phase instead of demanding that doubt disappear first.

Narrative Therapy: repetitive questioning is externalised as the GPS/chatter rather than framed as the player being the problem.

Morita-informed principle: the run continues while chatter remains present; forward action is not made conditional on internal quiet.

The arcade score is for the game. The pattern report is descriptive telemetry. Neither is a validated clinical measure.

What stood out in this run

Complete the reflections below to integrate the client’s subjective account with the gameplay telemetry.

Your reflections will be carried into the final formulation after Level 7.

Before you move on

These are used only for the qualitative part of the gameplay report. Your exact wording is kept separate from the telemetry.

Your possible themes will appear in the final combined report after Level 2. They are treated as hypotheses, not conclusions.

AMBER = START BLUE = LEAVE IT GREEN = PICK UP

Level 2 · Backstage Blitz

Deliver 8 backstage orders.

You are running the backstage floor. Every order follows the same four-step loop:
1 START Walk to an amber station and press E.
2 LEAVE IT It turns blue. It is already working. Go do something else.
3 PICK UP When it turns green, go back and press E.
4 DELIVER Carry the box to DISPATCH and press E.
Important: pressing E on a blue station outside Audit Burst is a recheck and makes that job take longer. You do not need to stand there waiting. Start other amber jobs while blue ones work.

What happened in this run

How this level was designed

SFBT: a clean waiting cycle becomes a Flow Echo. The game immediately gives the player another chance to reuse the sequence that already worked.

Metacognitive principle: station pings remain visible, but action is selected by state: amber and green need engagement; blue is already being handled. This rehearses disengaging from a signal without needing to suppress it.

Strategic Brief Therapy: Audit Burst deliberately prescribes checking for eight seconds. Those checks are recorded separately and are not treated as failures. When the burst ends, the ordinary rule returns.

Morita-informed principle: unfinished jobs and pings are allowed to remain present while purposeful action shifts elsewhere.

These are designed therapeutic mechanisms inside gameplay, not evidence that a specific diagnosis or treatment response has been established.

Level 3 · Switchboard Rush

You choose what gets processing power.

Signals will keep arriving whether you like them or not. Your job is not to stop them. Your job is to move the processing beam deliberately.
1 · GOLD needs youMove the beam onto the lane carrying the gold signal before it reaches the processing line.
2 · PURPLE can passPurple signals repeat old material. If your beam stays on them, they grow louder and can generate extra noise.
3 · SPACE broadens attentionUse a short broad scan when the board gets busy, then release it and narrow your attention again.
Win condition: catch 18 gold signals. You do not lose because purple signals exist. The skill is choosing what receives continued processing.

Level 4 · Fog Run

You only need enough information for the next move.

The road beyond each gate is foggy. You are not supposed to know the whole route before moving.
1 · Choose an OPEN gateGold means that lane is open right now. Move left or right until your board is under a gold gate.
2 · Press E to commitIf the current gate is open, that is enough to move. You do not need to reveal the entire road first.
3 · SPACE looks farther aheadA scan shows possible future routes. Repeated scans do not make the present gate safer — they create more projections to inspect.
One exception: when the game says NEW WEATHER UPDATE, press SPACE once because something genuinely changed. Otherwise scanning is optional.
Win condition: clear 12 gates. There is no hidden perfect route.

This level is about staying in motion.

You have already spent four levels learning what pulls you back in. Here, you do less analysing and more moving.
1 · Follow the teal gatesSteer left or right and keep moving through the route. There is no hidden puzzle.
2 · Purple can stayPurple thought-noise will appear around the route. You cannot shoot it, solve it, or collect it. It is just there while you move.
3 · Recover, don’t restartIf you hit something or miss a gate, the run continues. Re-enter the next gate instead of trying to repair the previous moment.
Win condition: pass through 24 teal gates. Gold rings are optional. The point is sustained forward movement, not a perfect run.

WASD / arrows move · E collect / exit · Q rescan · SHIFT quiet-step
Level 6 · Quiet Heist

Get in, take what you need, get out.

Each room gives you a clear starting route. You can scan again, but every extra scan adds more possible paths and labels to the room. Moving without rescanning clears that clutter.
1 · Follow the teal lineMove through the room toward the gold case. The first route is already enough to begin.
2 · Use Q only if you chooseA rescan redraws the room, but repeated rescans add extra route projections. You never need to clear those projections before moving.
3 · Collect and continuePress E at the gold case. After three items, follow the exit light and leave. Red security beams are obstacles, not puzzles.
One genuine update: midway through the level, the security pattern really changes and the game will explicitly tell you to scan once.
Win condition: secure all 3 items and reach the EXIT. Getting spotted does not restart the level.

Q is optionalIf you want a route reminder, Q briefly redraws it. You do not need to keep checking the map to make progress.
